Containment-first remediation
We follow the IICRC S520 standard on every remediation. The short version: contain the contaminated area before you disturb it, work under negative air pressure, remove what's compromised, HEPA-filter what's left, and verify with a clearance test.
Every remediation job includes:
- Containment - 6-mil poly walls with zipper doors isolate the work area from the rest of the home.
- Negative air pressure - a HEPA-filtered air scrubber runs continuously. Air pulls out of containment so spores can't drift into clean parts of the house.
- Source removal - we remove drywall, insulation, baseboard, and subfloor that's compromised. We don't paint over mold. We don't fog and call it done.
- HEPA vacuum + wipe-down - every surface inside containment gets HEPA-vacuumed, wiped with an EPA-registered antimicrobial, and HEPA-vacuumed again.
- Drying - dehumidifiers stay on site until moisture readings return to the acceptable range. We document the readings.
- Verification - a third-party post-remediation air sample. We want someone other than us to verify our work.
- Reconstruction - drywall, paint, baseboard, trim. We coordinate with your insurance adjuster's scope when there's a claim.
Insurance documentation
We write our scope and invoice in Xactimate line-item format. That's the format adjusters read directly. Moisture maps, photo log, and chain-of-custody on every lab sample are included. If your insurer asks for additional documentation, we send it directly.
