How a job actually runs

How much of your time will this cost?

We get asked this constantly, so here's the honest answer up front.

Stage Your time Our time
Booking the consult 2 minutes (online form or phone) We reply within 2 business hours
The inspection itself 1.5-2 hours, on site, you can leave after we walk together 2 hours on site + 1-2 hours of write-up
Reading the report 15-30 minutes (plain-English summary up front, lab data below) 48 hours after lab returns results
Reviewing the quote 10-20 minutes (it's itemized in plain English) Same-day turnaround
Remediation (if needed) Zero - we send daily progress photos to a shared folder. You can be away the whole time. 1-5 days on site for most jobs
Clearance walkthrough 15 minutes (we explain the lab numbers) 48-72 hours after final cleaning

Total active commitment for a typical job: ~3 hours of your time, spread across 1-3 weeks. Most of the wall-clock time is us, the lab, and the drying equipment doing work in the background.

1. You call

You call. We answer. We ask what's going on - what you've seen, smelled, or fixed recently. Most of the time we can scope it on the phone. Sometimes a moisture meter at the wall is all you need.

2. Inspection (within 3 business days)

A trained inspector walks the home, takes moisture readings, photographs anything suspect, and collects samples when needed. Two hours on site. One to two hours of write-up. Report emailed within 48 hours of lab results.

3. Scope and quote

If remediation is warranted, we write the scope in line-item format. What comes out. How it's contained. How it's verified. The quote is itemized so your insurance adjuster can read it. No hidden change orders.

4. Remediation (1-5 days for most jobs)

We protect floors and adjacent areas, build containment, run negative air, and remove what's compromised. Daily progress photos in a shared folder. You can be home or away - we send a code, not a key.

5. Verification

Third-party post-remediation testing confirms the air inside the affected area is at or below the outdoor control sample. We want an independent lab on this step.

6. Reconstruction & warranty

Drywall, paint, baseboard, trim - restored to pre-loss. Our work carries a 2-year warranty on the remediation itself, contingent on the moisture source being resolved.
